We were very pleased to be selected as one of the charities for the Coulsdon Waitrose Community Matters Donation Scheme. Waitrose chooses 3 charities each month to benefit from what is, normally, a share of £1,000 and in November 2012 Croydon Churches Floating  Shelter (CCFS) were selected to be one of those charities. Much to our surprise Waitrose had decided to increase the benefit to those selected pre-Christmas to £3,000. Customers are given a green token to choose their charity and place their token in that box at the checkouts and we were overjoyed to receive a £1,000 donation. John Broom, our Chairman was presented with a cheque in January 2013.

Schemes such as these provide valuable funds for CCFS but also allow us to reach out to our local community and let them know how we support homeless guests. In all CCFS has benefited to the extent of over £4,000 from Waitrose/John Lewis across the Borough.
